Today's the second anniversary of Deem Bristow's death.

Who was Deem Bristow? Remember Sonic Adventure 1 and 2? Or even Sonic Heroes, for younger audiences?
Well, in those games Eggman, my favourite Sonic character, was voiced by Deem Bristow, his was a voice I'v always adored and that made me love the character in the first place.
When I found out about his death, two years ago, I was totally shocked, and I didn't know the worst was about to come.
His death, infact, also signed the decline of Sonic games' voice acting: all the original cast, including Ryan Drummond, for me the only possible Sega Sonic voice, was fired and replaced by the Sonic X voice actors.
I think that this is a day all Sonic fans should remember.
So now, go play the dark side in SA2, like Ryan Drummond originally said when he told the world this sad news.

gran bel lavoro e mi dispiace per il doppiatore di eggman....solo lui riusciva a rendere giustizia al personaggio

My favorite Robotnik voices will always be Long John Baldry, (my God what a hilarious character) and Jim Cummings (so evil!)

But Deem Bristow definately made "Eggman" his own.

Well, infact I talked about the Sega Sonic fans, you're more fond of the cartoons and the comic, which I had never seen until recently, and it's almost obvious that you liked those voices more than Deem's.
Besides, Eggman's not Robotnik, and SatAM's Robotnik is not the same of AoStH, those voice actors were both perfect for their roles, and preferences are mostly based on what your favourite version is.

Yeah, me too. It looked like Robotnik/Eggman was fading right in front of my eyes, two of his voice actors dying in the same year, and both weren't even so old (especially Deem Bristow). =(

They're not the same character, no. But they are representations of the exact same character. All Eggman/Robotnik variations serve the same purpose, and share similar designs. So I still count all the variants as one character, just different versions.

I hope I wasn't coming across as if I was saying my preferences are better, as that wasn't what I was intending to convey =P I was simply saying how much I enjoyed those vocal characteristics.
